Ibuprofen to stop period?

I'm thinking about taking high doses of ibuprofen (800 mg every 4 hours) to stop my period this week. Is this safe? Has anyone done this before? If so, how long before the ibuprofen starts working?

It stops pain never heard of it stopping your period all together. And that's a good way to kill your stomach.

I used to do that before I got my PCOS and endometriosis more under control. That was something my OB and I discussed at length, it did make it so my clots were smaller and easier to pass.

But it didn't shorten the length of my period.
