Guardasil?

My dad has been wanting me to get the guardasil shot but hes also heard very bad things about it, as well as good. Cervical cancer runs in my moms family and I guess is usually caused by HPV. So I figured I could ask you guys what your experiences with the shot are. Any answers would be helpful :)

I had the Guardasil shot when I was 13, and getting my booster here soon. Never once did I get any symptoms that are making people not want to get them. Like the really horrible ones, don't listen to them because the chance is so low. Only symptom I had from mine was an achy arm, which I always get after shots! If it runs in your family try and protect yourself every way you can!!!

I get the shots. They hurt a little bit, but I'm sure HPV hurts worse.

I have it , or at least i have had one of the shots for cervical cancer not sure which . So far no side effects :) but i suppose like anything new , you never know what may happen 30 40 years down the line

It's hard to say because it's a newly developed vaccine, so scientists haven't been able to see how/if it affects people long-term. We DO know that HPV sucks. My dad was worried about the same thing, but we decided I should get the shot anyway.
