Should u have to say I love u?

My boyfriend says I love u ever two hours and I feel like I have to say it bc he said it, it really gets over used and I hate saying it this offen because then saying it feels like it doesn't mean anything. Wat are your thoughts on this?

I think I tell my wife I love you more than 10 times a day. I find myself staring at how beautiful she is and before I know I'm saying it it has already escaped in my previous breath... As stupid and corny and sappy as that sounds I feel like terrible things in life happen and she needs to know how much love I have for her and I can show her all day every day and I can say it all day every as well. It isn't a waste of breath .

My BF and I tell each other all day and every time during intercourse and it makes the sex 10x better! He can't tell me he loves me enough. If ur BF says i love you that much, you telling him it's too much will probably hurt him.

My mum always told me she loved me, everytime I Was leaving the house or going to school, I think it was just her way of making sure we knew in case anything happened. Because I was so used to it with my first bf I said I love you a lot. One day he said I don't need to say it so much and it really upset me. He was right but at the time I got really hurt and after that I maybe said it 6 times in two years. I did love him but didn't want the rejection of him not responding. With my oh now who I've been with 6 years we say it once or twice a week, we know we love each other so don't say it loads. My point is, if your going to say something do it nicely

We say it anytime one of us leaves, every time we end a phone call(no matter how short), not every time but often during sex, after an especially good hug or kiss, or whenever we just feel like saying it. I love him more than anything and I know words are just words and need to be backed up by actions but I love hearing it and saying it.

I used to say "Thank You" till my bf said it makes him feel a bit unhappy. So just if I feel it I say it back. I personally don't think that saying it shows if I really do or not.
