Christians who don't use protection?

Question

I am a Christian but I think it's weird when other Christians who are married don't believe in protection. They say they shouldn't tell God how many kids they are going to have. But I think there is nothing wrong being a Christian and using protection. Not every married couple is ready for a baby! What do you think. ?

I don't quite understand it either and I am a Christian. If God wants you to have a baby, don't ya think he would make it happen regardless of birth control?  Or that maybe using birth control is God's way of saying now is not time?

I think some people follow their religion more closely than others or choose to follow certain aspects that others see unnecessary in today's times/standards.

I think people should do what ever they are comfortable with. I have a friend that's Christian and she's married and she's on birth control.

I am Christian and we carefully chose when to conceive. Bible says God will help those who help themselves, so we made sure we were ready for baby.

Christian woman here. We use condoms because I refuse the notion of a pill controlling my hormones month to month.

Let's be honest here, God allows us to make plans even to the point of how many children we want. Your faith in the Lord can even get to the place where you believe and trust Him at what time you will conceive.

Using contraceptives is not a sin unless you feel bad about using them. If a woman has cancer and is on chemo you can't possibly tell me she and her husband are sinning if they use birth control or a condoms. Why should a baby grow in a body that has massive amounts of drugs in it that could great destroy or mess it up for life?

Be wise in your planning and finances when having a baby. Trust God's timing and ask Him when is a great time to have a baby. Don't be shamed by others outside your marriage and do communicate with your husband what you want to do in growing your family or if you want children at all. This conversation is between you, God and your man. All else can have an opinion but you don't have to let it have place within your marriage.

The Lord said be fruitful and multiply...... He didn't say do it when you're ready or try to play God and stop the natural way of doing things. You shouldn't even have a relationship if you are not married. If you are married and you are responsible and mature enough to be married that means you should be ready to bring forth children and raise them in the fear of God, only reason u should use protection is if u have serious health problems that might damage your health more if you got pregnant because God has called us unto peace.Amen

I personally don't think using contraceptives will stop GODS will (negating their argument). This is because an amazing friend of mine who is sincerely religious was not only on the pill and used a condom, this was also their first time, and she conceived the most wonderful little boy.

Very few Christian denominations feel that way. Catholics are probably the most famous ones.

They believe that separating procreation and  sex can lead to the objectification of women. I don't necessarily agree but I do think that values in society changed a lot once the pill became popular. I am really simplifying their reasoning. If you want to really understand read about contraception and theology of the body.

I think that's more of a Catholic way of thinking rather than broad spectrum Christian. My family is Catholic and they truly believed that years ago so I have a ton of family, but I would say now days it's more acceptable not to go by that
