Secretly a bad person.

I was recently listening to a sermon in which the preacher said something to the effect of, "It doesn't matter how you present yourself to the world, God knows your heart. He knows if you're a good person and he knows if you're a bad person."

This made me really think. I've had a lot of rough things happen to me lately, all primarily based around ttc, and a lot of times I think, "I'm a good person, so why is this happening to me?" Well, that sermon made me think, am I secretly a bad person? Do I have a bad heart and is that why God isn't blessing me with a a baby? I mean, I know I'm a sinner because we all are but what if I'm just putting on a facade that's fooling those around me along with myself but not fooling god?

Stop right there ladies! Enough of this "good" person "bad" person business. We are ALL saved through His grace. Salvation is not predicated on our merits. It is freely given because Christ's blood was shed for us. Please do not continue condemning yourselves when He's already moved on from what you see as something bad. You are the apple of His eyes and deserve the desires of your heart. Believe that, because it's true. Uplifting y'all in prayer. Baby dust :)

Christ died for you before you were even born and while your were a sinner. He loves you that much. That's Satan telling you those lies. When he tells you those lies speak scriptural truth about it and tell him to leave!

My husband and I have been ttc for 6 yrs. Done 6 medicated IUI's this year and moving onto IVF. In my quiet time I have often questioned if I'm a good/bad person in Gods eyes. I am now somewhat coming to a place of acceptance if this is what the Lord has planned for us.

Really we are all "bad people" cause we are all sinners. But by accepting Jesus as your Lord you were washed by His blood. God loves you and has always loved you and He has a plan for you that is so perfect. Only He knows what exactly you need. Just submit your worries to Him and you will feel so much better! Praying for you :)

I often have those same feelings and wonder the same thing. I do however know that what God thinks of me is more important to me than what anyone else thinks of me. It's a hard thing to think about = ( I can only hope that I am truly the good person that I try to be.
