Whooping cough shot?

Anyone getting it and asking family members to recieve it? Yes/No, why?
Personally that would be a yes for me. On my husband's side there are a lot of little kids and a lot of family so I don't want to take chances. How about you?

Yes! No way in hell in taking that risk since I'm due in February..

We had a baby of a friend die of whooping cough. It was awful. It's a real risk. I got it and demanded all family got it.

I have mine, but will get a bolster in my third trimester, as my doctor told me that is when she would like me to get it again to improve the babies immunity before birth. I made my husband get it 2 years ago before my nephew was born. Both my parents have it. I will also ask my in laws to get it.

Yep, I had it and so did my husband and all grandparents. There is a huge outbreak of whooping cough here, no way I would risk not having the vaccine

My husband got his whooping cough shot yesterday, and I'm getting mine done in the third trimester. And I've already told all our immediate family (parents and siblings) that if they want to meet the baby, then they need to have had the whooping cough and the flu shot. Luckily everyone has done it, because there's no way I'd risk my baby's safety.
