Anything i can to do to help loosen or open up my cervix?

I was checked at 37 weeks and i was closed  and get checked again at 38 weeks....im just scared i wont open because my sister my mom and my moms sisters all had to have c-sections because there cervixs wouldn't open.

I took evening primrose oil and it helped me get to 4cm & fully thinned out. Then once my water was broke i went from 4-10 in an hr.

Im a FTM and I figured I would be late. I delivered at 40w and 3 days and avoided an induction. I walked about 1.5 miles everyday for about a week, bounced on the exercise ball when I was at home, and even tried labor cookies. I'm not sure if all that helped but I did also drink Third Trimester Tea (2-3 cups every day the last 3 weeks of pregnancy). I had been dilated 1-2 cm for about 4 weeks and all of a sudden went into labor at 40+3, and had a fairly short (5 hr) labor at that. I think the tea helped the most because dilation and contractions started, they were really effective. I couldn't try sex because I'm no longer w/anyone now so I wouldn't know if that works but everyone swears by it!
