With first baby is it important to have a big car?

I currently have a Honda Civic and was wondering if I need to get a bigger car. Any thoughts will be helpful!

I had a civic with my first, and it was fine. I only upgraded to a cr-v when I was pregnant with my second. Now pregnant with my 3rd and I am thinking an odyssey.

No need to rush abd get a new car... If the car has no mechanical issues and is safe no need to rush unless you can afford it or want to cuz you feel the need for extra space completely up to you. I had a car with my first till he was 3 years old.

I have a sedan and am expecting my second child, I wont be getting a larger car for a while. Small babies dont need a lot of space and honestly for me its just a waste of money for now.

We went out and got a family car when i found out i was pregnant only because my bf was driving a single cab truck with no way to fit a carseat at all. So we traded it in for a small suv..honda crv to be exact.  But i have friends that drive small cars with carseats and they are just fine. One has a ford focus and the other is driving a ford mustang 2 dr.

I think as long as there are 4 doors you are fine. I couldn't imagine having a baby with a two door car. Not saying it isn't done, but it just seems very challenging and frustrating.

it's not for the first. We both had cars. We just recently traded in my husbands car for an SVU without knowing I was pregnant. I almost wish we had gotten something bigger but it will work for two. It's more all of their crap that takes up space when we travel lol.

Honestly a two door car is not as much as a hassle as most people would think yes it's easier with a  four door but it's possible either way with my first kid I had a Honda accord and did just fine the baby car seat isn't forever and once you get in a front facing seat it's smooth sailing ahead since you don't have to constantly take it out

I have a little Lexus hybrid and I will be keeping it for my little man. I don't think you will need a big car. My hubby has a 2 door coupe and I told him he's gonna regret not getting another one the first time he has to take the car seat out of there! I think as long as it's a 4 door you're fine. Once you have a second and have to lug around 2 strollers you might need to upgrade
