Membranes sweep?

Question

I am 3 cm dialated 80% effaced. I am 39 weeks. And just got my membranes sweep and having bad cramping .. Do you think I could go into labor soon by it? Wondering if this worked for anyone else and if there is something more I can do to get things going

Oh and sex, walking, bouncing on the ball. Red raspberry leaf tea. Just basically being active as possible after the sweep and during any contractions you have are what helps a lot. 
I did a lot of deep squats too.

I got my membranes stripped a total of 3 times. Once at 37w and 3 days (we did this because I am trying for a vbac and knew it would take a few times for the membrane sweep to be successful.) 
On the first one I was only a fingertip dilated so not even a 1.. Doctor wasn't able to do a full on sweep. I cramped a little and had a few extra Braxton hicks but nothing too exciting. 
The 2nd time was at 38 w and 3 days. This time I was a 1 almost a 2 and 50% effaced so doctor was able to do a little more but nothing to put me into labor. 
The 3rd time at 39w and 1 day I was dilated to a 2 Cervix was still high even though baby had dropped he was able to get in there and be a lot more aggressive. 
I was hopeful but after the first two did nothing I didn't want to get my hopes up. 
At my appointment we discussed a plan for if I didn't go into labor on my own and I was pretty bummed.. I wanted very badly to have a chance at labor and possibly a vaginal birth. 
My appointment was at 11:30 and by 2:00 I was having contractions about every 5 minutes. They gradually got stronger and stronger till I decided around 7 to go into labor and delivery. I have had tons of Braxton hicks contractions through out this pregnancy so I knew these felt a lot stronger. 
All I knew about what real contractions felt like was what I read from other people. 
The best discription I have is the worst period cramps ever! 
And wait to go in till you can't handle it anymore. I thought they were bad when I went in. They were not anywhere near how bad they actually got by 9:00. 
I definitely believe the membrane sweep helped a ton and I also believe it won't do anything unless your baby and body are ready to go.

For me I had cramping and a terrible back ache but no labor. I was 40 weeks and 3cm70%

I went into labor the next day and delivered less than 2 days after being swept.
