1hr glucose test fasting or no?

So i took the 3hr glucose test at 14wks (because im "obese") and it was normal. Now im going in for the 1hr test. Well the 3hr is a fasting test but is the 1hr a fasting test too? I am a procrastinator and hate talking on the phone so i dont wanna call n ask unless i have to lol

You are supposed to have a proper meal 2 hours before they give you the drink. Once you have the drink, you are not allowed to eat or drink anything else until after they draw your blood. If you choose to fast beforehand, they'll usually still do the test, but it is recommended to have a full meal 2 hours before.

If you have the lab order, it will say fasting or not! Also your dr should have told you.. I would call and make sure!! You don't want to risk the results and end up failing because you didn't want to call and ask a simple question

I wa told just eat a normal meal a few hours before hand, but nothing sugary that day!

My doctors have all done non fasting. They usually tell me to eat a good breakfast with protein and carbs.

Your OB should have given you directions before the test. But Every office is different. I think you should call and ask just to be on the safe side. Also to avoid any mishaps. Just my opinion.

I didn't fast and I failed.. So I'm actually in the middle of my 3 hr test right now. And it's AWFUL!
