Im 5 Weeks 1 day has anyone else been spotting? .

I've been spotting on and off now for about 3 days .Its reddish brown with mild cramping .Everyone's saying its old blood. My Dr.appointment isn't till next Friday but just want to know if anyone else is having this issue ? It does concern me 😕

Implantation bleeding happens when the embryo burrows into the uterine lining. It's nothing to worry about, so long as it's brown in color to light pink. Anything on the red side should always be checked by your doctor

If it turns more red than brown then go to the ER. Other than that just wait until your doc appointment.

Hi, after confirming that I am in fact pregnant last week (5 weeks then) I began spotting on Friday. I was concerned as it wasn't light pink as (which i experienced during implantation), it was brown actually; like what I would have at the end of my period. Still let it do its thing, but still having it on Monday I went to my doctor. Now 6 weeks, baby is fine but I have a subchorionic bleed. She has put me on progesterone (insert) for 2 weeks. I'm happy I went early....though I hesitated as I thought perhaps I was paranoid ☺ while all reading says that some spotting is common in the 1st trimester, I suggest you let your Dr know. PS....part of me is petrified.

Yes I too had some bleeding. If it's heavy and soaking through pads call your doc right away but if it starts and then goes away then you should be fine. Sometimes in the first trimester your cervix is super sensitive and you produce extra blood and you tend to spot. But as long as the bleeding is not accompanied with cramping or pain the you should be fine but still alert your doctor because everyone's body is different.
