Do you wash baby clothes & blankets before they wear them?

Why or why not? What detergent do you use?

Yes their skin is sensitive and you don't know whose hands and germs have touched those clothes before they made it to you. I would use all free & clear, Purex baby (Walmart), or dreft. I find dreft to be ridiculously priced though.

Yes, yes, &* yes! Dreft for everything, but if you have handmade blankets etc use Woolite 😊

Yes! The chemicals in the clothes & blankets may cause skin irritations. I use Dreft because I love the smell. There are cheaper versions. Or clean and clear detergents like Tide will work as well.

I haven't washed yet @ 38 weeks. I plan on washing a bit while I'm in labor, give me something to distract myself. I'm just going to use a free&clear detergent

I buy "All" Baby formula. It's way cheaper than draft and works great, smells like baby powder :)

I washed. But I have always just used the same detergent we use. I just added an extra rinse to my son's clothes when he was a baby. Some babies are more sensitive but I've never had a problem.

Yes! Companies can use dyes or sprays that could irritate baby's skin. Irritated baby = fussy baby. Always wash use Dreft or if that is too expensive All free and clear is good or seventh generation.

Yea. I used dreft for first 6 months to make sure baby had no allergies and now I use tide never had any problems.

Yes I was them with dreft just because baby skin is so sensitive and new & you just don't know what's touched the clothes
