I am having to do a project on political correctness in my English class. What are some of your takes on the issue of being politically correct and everyone becoming offended over everything? Not everyone, but a good portion. What does being politically correct mean to you? Many believe that being politically correct isn't a matter of being correct, but of being respectful and considerate of others. In my opinion, people need to stop becoming so easily offended. Others have been taking offense to everything even if what was said or done was not meant to be offensive. While I may be able to control the things that I say, I cannot control the way in which someone wants to take it. I am also not talking about purposely offending someone and even so, in that case, the principal of the matter still stands. And, in my opinion, you must have a self-conscious to become so easily offended.
