Spot when I wiped please help

I'm currently at the ER, when I went to the restroom this morning and wiped I had a needle size spot of bright red blood. I went to the bathroom again and it was gone but I'm scared. I just got an ultrasound 3 days ago and saw my baby's heartbeat, but we can't seem to pick it up on this Doppler... Is this spotting normal?? I'm 10w6d is it normal to also not be able to hear the heartbeat yet? Please help I need answers and prayers I don't want to lose my baby.
