How big was your first baby at birth?

Did you have any complications with labor due to baby's size?

I'm asking because I am 39+3 and I am barely a fingertip dialated and cervix isn't soft. The doctor said she is worried about her size, she is thinking around 8lbs already and no signs of labor in the near future.

My son ended up being 9lb 7ounces at birth (I knew he would be big because I was massive). But it wasn't an issue with giving birth vaginally. I did tear a little bit but that was due to how fast he came out not his size (only 25mins of pushing). I was 11days overdue when he decided to come out, they wanted to induce me that day and still broke my waters for me to hurry it along. Some bubs just take longer to get their act together I think :)

I delivered at 39+1 my son was 8lbs 2oz. I got to the hospital and was 3 cms and had him completely naturally less than 10 hours after we got there.

I had my daughter 7p 3 oz 29 hours of labour with her back to back 5 failed attempts of the epidural and my heart rate went through the roof but then she was out and all the pain disappeared apart from a very tender crotch for a few weeks :)

the dr told me my girl would be close to 10 lbs. she came out at 8 lb 6 oz at 42 weeks.

With my first, during my 38week appointnent I was told she weighed 9pounds. I was already 3 1/2-4cm dilated so I had my membranes swept. She was born that same night weighing a perfect 6pounds.

My son was 11lbs 8oz and born 11 days late. I had to have a c section because his heart rate jumped and we aren't sure why.

My daughter was supposed to be closer to 9lbs according to "measurements" taken at 40 weeks but when I delivered at 41 weeks, she was only 7lbs 10oz. They also measured my son wrong too. Mine are never accurate. Good luck.

My cervix was 75% thinned at 38 weeks but only a centimeter dilated. I wouldn't worry.. That honestly does not say how big the baby will be at all. My friend thinned out and dilated fast and had a large baby.
