Can I ask to be put fully under?

Can they put me fully under because I feel like I'll have a panic attack and freak.

Honestly, I thought I would have preferred to be put under... I would have been so disappointed. It was amazing to hear my babies cry instantly and see them. I did get sick a lot and started sweating because I was getting nervous. Everything was amazing. The gas pain after is worse than the incision. You can do it momma! It's such a precious moment.

You won't see anything and it will be over before you know it I was scared too but I got over the fair since my MIL was there talking to me the entire time now am schedule to do it again, it will be worth it too cause you'll get to see the baby once he/she is out

I've had my third csection recently and first two times I was wide awake cut open with an epidural. It was not as scary as I thought. I thought I would feel everything and pain but all I felt was the tugging and sometimes wet. Then they pulled babies out and I got to see them and then they go get cleaned up while I recover. This last csection was a super emergency - my water broke at 28 weeks and they were trying to keep me pregnant until 34 weeks when baby's heart rate started dipping and they thought I was having contractions - and so I was put to sleep and I didn't get to see him at all until he was in the NICU. So either or you will not feel anything but you also miss seeing baby as they pull baby out.

I was put under for my second csection in September and I was terrified to be under.

I had to be put under for my second c section because they couldn't do the epidural. You don't get to have your husband back there and the doctor has to get the baby out as soon as you go under so the baby doesn't get the effects of the drugs. I didn't get to hear my baby's first cry or anything.

I asked to be put under because I started freaking out but my doctor told me it honestly is to risky because of the general anesthesia...he told me if he did that it meant my husband couldn't be in there along with have to resesitate the baby (probably spelled that wrong lol)....it wasn't that bad they put something in my IV made me not give a damn lol and then did the spinal block..you will be fine 😊

You can ask but it'll be over so fast. I wasn't put under but they gave me so many drugs that they just cancelled each other out so I could feel everything they were doing. Then they pumped me full of ketamine and I started overdosing. I had an emergency cesarean. It was over in a half hour.

Ask for anxiety drugs.   Less of a risk than going completely under
