Did the doctor give me wrong due date my for my first child

Question

My original due date was July 26th 2014 and then about half way through they changed it to July 28th  and they scheduled me to be induced the 6th of August  at 5pm but I got nature moving on it's own and had him on August 6th 2014  11 days later than my original  due date has this ever happened before or has any one ever even went 9 days  over due with their first child or do you think my doctor got my due date wrong?????

My original due date was July 31st (it would move up with every ultrasound)  and I ended up having my baby on August 8th, not induced. 
Which actually made more sense for us for when we conceived hehe ☺️😉

Due date is just an estimate. They are based off of the same calendar for everyone, but your cycle can vary and be shorter or longer. I went 10 days over with my son and he was fine.

The first DD they give you is just an estimate. Once your baby starts growing they will adjust your DD accordingly. But a couple of days is no big deal. 
I know this was 24 years ago, but the dr let my mom go almost a month past her due date. They kept telling her she didn't get pregnant when she thought she did and she knew exactly when she got pregnant because my dad was out of town for months at a time then for work. My brother was due July 18th and was born August 12th.

Your estimated due date is based on your period and that you fell pregnant bang on 2weeks into your cycle which is unlikely! Once you start getting scans the go by measurements but babies are not all the same size when they are born so again it's just and estimate babies are born anywhere between 38 and 42 weeks X x

My mom had me 17 days later than my due date! Pretty sure they don't let people go that long anymore!

Thank you for your input ladies it freaked me out cause people I knew having babies got induced the day after their due dates or was no more than 3 days  over due but he certainly did come when he wanted to it makes me wonder about his sister as well if she'll be "late" or  "on time"
