Baby gifts.

Now that I'm pregnant with my first child I have the strong urge to go shopping for my child. I was about to buy a crib but family members are freaking out because they all want to be the ones to buy the baby stuff. I am happy that they would want to do that but for some reason I really want to be the one picking out all the stuff for my baby. Christmas is coming up and me and my husband will not know the sex until the 15th of December so people won't be able to buy anything til last minute. Idk I want a certain theme with all the bigger things I don't want to have a bunch of different styles for everything? Is there anyway to go about this without seeming rude?
