Amniotic fluid?

With my daughter I had my water broken and don't remember a thing! So my question is the past few days I have been having clear slimy discharge. No colour to it at all (sometime getting mucous plug in between) I'm 40 weeks 3 days. Could this be amniotic fluid or no? I always thought of amniotic fluid as water gushing out or soaking my underwear like urine. This is only when I wipe it does not leak into my underwear. Thank you'

It could be urine, it could be amniotic fluid. It's best you call your doc.

Amnitoic fluid is really liquidy. It has the consistency of urine really.

When the water breaks sometimes it doesn't come out all at once but in spurts so yes it could be that I would go in :)

Try laying down for a few minutes then stand up. If you feel a gush or even a trickle when you stand back up then it's definitely your water. That's how I knew with my son.
