Normal for 7 weeks?!?

So I went to the doctor today and I believe I am 7 weeks as of today. My last period was October 12th. My doctor doesn't want to see me until the 17th, which would make me 9w3d and I'm nervous because I'm seeing people post on here that they can see the heart beat at 6 weeks. Is this normal to not be seen?!?

Yes i wasnt seen until 8ish weeks its normal and more common this way they can be sure that everything is there and developing. Some people dont see a heartbeat at 6 weeks but one at 8 so i am sure they do it so people dont freak out.

I didn't get my first ultrasound until 12 weeks. But hearing his heartbeat the first time was the most amazing thing.
