Can you get a foot message while pregnant?

Ok so I'm 31 weeks and have heard you're not allowed to get messages cause they can cause miscarriages is this true.. Or just some silly urban myth..

I'm a former massage therapist and foot massages are fine. The pressure point is painful and you really need to work them hard.

As a cosmetologist I can tell you it's absolutely fine. Just inform them you are pregnant and anyone who has had formal education will know to avoid pressure and massage around your ankles.

There are pressure points in your feet so you do have to be careful or let the person know you're pregnant so they know to go easy.

I've heard, but don't know if it's true at all, that there's a pressure point near your ankle that should be avoided because it could start contractions. Again, no idea if that's true. I get pedicures frequently with foot massages with no issues.

I had multiple massages and pedicures during my last pregnancy with no issues, but I do believe I remember the lady telling me that wouldn't be giving me a "real" foot massage because there is certain pressure points she wouldn't want to hit. I would think that as long as your going to a reputable masseuse that they would know what they're doing, especially if you're getting a pregnancy massage.
