Im 21 weeks pregnant and have struggled with hyperthyroidism since 2013. After i found out i was pregnant, i was switched over to a medication that is less risky for baby but has a high risk of liver failure. Recently my liver numbers have tripled and i cant just stop taking my medication because my thyroid quickly gets out of hand but the medication is messing up my liver. My doctors are telling me to do surgery but im scared that will hurt my baby girl. Any surgery has a risk of preterm labor which is why i kind of want to wait until she's a little bigger because at this stage, i know she wouldn't survive being born but maybe at 28 weeks she would. Has anyone had to go through surgery before while pregnant?? What kind of surgery and how far along were you? What was the outcome?? Thank you for all your help in advance 😅
