My and my partner decided to start trying last year so I had my last depo shot and after some research found out exactly what it does to you. I waited a year of horrible irregular periods becore finally making a doctors appointment as I wanted to give it time to get out my system. I had blood tests on day 5 and 21 and I've just had an internal scan. I went to the doctors yesterday and they said I have poly cystic ovaries and despite being a healthy weight she wants me to try metformin. I'm going to get my prescription tomorrow and finally start. I'm hoping this regulates my cycle and starts me ovulating, I was just wondering what to expect. Has anyone tried metformin only and got a bfp and if so How long before your periods returned and such? I'm so desperate now for this to work as in the last few months everyone I know has found out they're expecting but me.
