When did you introduce solids?

My son is a big 3 month old. I'm wondering when everyone started solids with their little ones. I'm going to check with his doctor on the 22nd when he sees her at his 4 month check up to see if I can introduce some rice or oatmeal cereal. I think it will Help him sleep through the night if he has it for dinner. I remember starting my daughter right around 4 months...

There are new studies showing that we've been starting solids too early. Recommended period now is 6+ months.

My daughter was 3 months when I started. She had reflux really bad so she needed something heavier on her stomach

My son just had his 4 month check up on Wednesday and the pediatrician told us to start rice cereal some time before his 6 month appointment. We decided we're going to try around the end of the month or beginning of January. We're just gonna leave it up to him and if he seems ready.

You can start introducing rice cereal  (mostly) runny to start with between 4-6 months. It just bepends on when your baby is ready.

4 mos old is when we started. Baby wasn't staying full so dr had me introduce solids just a little at a time. I puréed my own veggies and fruit.

We started solids at his 6 month birthday. Studies now show its best to wait until 6 months. So that's what we did. It didn't improve his sleep. He did that himself and with help of the dreaded bottle(breastfed). That happened at 5-6 months. He would sleep all night. Before that we were up every 3-4 hours. Good luck.

Started my daughter right around five months with rice cereal now she's five and a half months and we started giving her baby food sweet potatoes & carrots. I was planning to wait until 6m as that's what I had read was recommended but at her 4m check up her Dr said we could start giving her food since she was going through milk like crazy and he felt she was was big enough and ready to handle it. I still waited until like i said 5 months mostly because that's when I felt more comfortable with her ability to sit up in her bumbo etc
