Who has had a miscarriage

I've never been pregnant but I've seen so many women on here talk about having had a miscarriage and so I'm curious to know how common it is?

I didn't realize how common it is until I had one myself.

We really don't know how common they are because a lot go undetected/unreported. Some woman just think they're having a heavier period.

I have had a miscarriage.. But I didn't realise how common it was till seeing this post! Quite shocked x

Apparently it's around 1 in 5 pregnancies, but some of them are so early the woman didn't even realise. But a number of my friends with kids have had miscarriages along the way. And they're just the ones who've talked about it. One, who has two girls now, lost her first 3 pregnancies. I'd imagine that was devastating. Me, I'm yet to conceive.
Another statistic... 1 in 6 couples struggle with fertility issues. Again, a lot of people don't talk about this, so a good reason to never ask a couple or woman if they're trying/ expecting or urge them on to starting, you just never know what they're going though or have been through. It's often very upsetting.

I've had two :''-(. July and Nov 2015. Still trying and praying for our take home baby to come along soon. 1 in 4 people have a miscarriage unfortunately...it's very common xxx

I only voted no cause I wanted to see the results. I haven't been pregnant yet either, but have always been worried about this!  So basically everyone who's voted has said yes so far... I didn't know they were that common😔
