Would you agree to let your significant other pick the name based on gender?

I was talking to my husband about my ultrasound that I have today , and he just looks over and says so how about if its a boy I name it and if its a girl you can name her whatever you want. I don't mind, this is his first child and my second. He really wants to name a boy after his brother he lost when they were younger and I have no issues with it.

No. My husband would name our kid something stupid like Gotham or salami and call her Sally. He cannot be trusted with a child's future lol

If my mom let my dad he would've named my brother Pony Boy. And I am not kidding. He was dead serious. He tells me and hubby that's what we should name ours if it's a boy! Lol 😂😂😂

If I knew without a doubt what his choice would be and I liked it I would say do it... but if not then no. My husband limes names I hate

I've had my girl name picked out since I was 15 years old. My hubby named our son. We co-created a name for baby 2 if it's a boy.

We both came up w our sons name but I did tell my husband that his wishes were very important to me bc it was important to him. So we named him after my husbands great grandfather.

If it's a boy he gets a junior if it's a girl I get to pick.

That is way cool of you. My husband lost a sister when he was little so I know his family would want to use that name if it's a girl. We already have two boys and picked names together although I had final say (don't tell him). Only problem I am not to fond of his sisters name. I also lost my Mom this last year so would love to honor her too. 
This could get tricky or she could 9 names we shall see....

Nope. I'm a control freak and care a lot about most things much more than he does. Hell have input because I respect him as a partner but he's pretty happy to let me make decisions that are important to me. It works for us!

This is the first child for both of us. If it's a boy they will be named after their Daddy, but if it's a girl he & I will choose a name together (that's my choice). Dad is not too keen on having a girl so I want him to have a part in choosing her name so he can grow an attachment before birth. All he talks about is his son on the way.
