There's some debate on this. I've heard professionals deny this and other professionals diagnose this.

I think it is real but I think very few people have a real sex addiction. There's a difference between an addiction and lack of
discipline/standards.

My fwb is a sex addict. It isn't really bad, but it's enough to make him recognize that he is one and he tries to keep it managed - mostly by masturbating a LOT.
