I'm in love... Is it okay that he isnt?

So the other night i was with my boyfriend.. We've been officially dating for 2 weeks but have been good friends for 2 years, and i finally built up the courage to tell him i love him. Because i do love him, with all my heart, and i couldn't go any longer without letting him know that. But, after i told him I love him, he kissed me for a while.... And i was hoping for him to say "i love you too" but he didnt. Did i say "i love you" too soon? Should i not have said it? Do i bring this up to him? He has been acting his normal self around me and everything, so i know that he wasnt thrown off guard by it. Any advice?
