Pumping before the baby comes?

How does this work? I'm super curious if I have a supply yet even of colostrum. I'm 37w3d. Did you moms that did it fill a breast milk storage bag?

I was told to not do so by my dr before 39 weeks since it cause some women to go into labor.

You shouldn't need to do this. You baby can surrvive on Colostrum for a good few days till your milk comes in and if it's taking its time pump and skin to skin with baby will help it along! Get baby straight on to your chest for skin to skin as soon as its born and your milk will come in! X
