Zofran?

Question

Anyone taken it? Refused to take it? My doc gave me an Rx for it & discussed it with me. She feels it's safe, that there are more studies that prove there are no ill side effects  for baby than studies that prove that there are. What are your thoughts?

Three babies, no issues. Loved it. And to those commenting that their baby had birth issues, that doesn't mean it's a direct side effect from the drug, some conditions can't be avoided.

It was given to me with my second when i had the stomach flu and besides a little jaundice at birth, he was perfectly healthy. I was given some this pregnancy during my first trimester for morning sickness and it made me feel feel worse...well it got rid of the nausea (somewhat) but it made me extremely tired and fatigued so I stopped taking it. My doc told me to only take it as needed any so I just stopped and suffered thru which was honestly better than the meds!

I took it and my baby is very healthy and happy moving around. I'm 26 weeks 4 days along and she is very healthy just measuring a little smaller but my son did as well.

I got it in the hospital one time but took diclegis from 7 weeks til 24 now 32 baby is healthy and growing just fine

Isn't thins the one that has a law suit against the makers? I would do your research and your OB should be up on the meds that are safe. Good luck. I was on meds for 14 weeks with twins

My cousin was on it and her baby had to have open heart surgery at 6 weeks old. She even sued the pharmaceutical company!

I have a friend who took it while she was pregnant and her baby was born with Kidney problems. He now has to get dialysis and is awaiting a kidney transplant.
