How is it that I work my butt off raising my two children and cannot get assistance... But a mother of two get get EVERYTHING paid for? She's not looking for work and never will. If it's that easy, maybe I'll quit my job and live like that.
I own a home (which my sons father paid half for before he decided to up and leave so now I'm way behind on mortgage cause I can't afford it myself) and a old junker car, that's it. (Electric heat cost me $450/month in the winter, and also no help from the father and all daycare cost) I barely have enough food to feed my kids every week, so I go hungry most nights. My kids only get a few Christmas present and it hurts to know I can't afford more or what they want.
I know I'll get crap about this but really gettin sick of it. This country is ass backwards.
So, if you want government assistance, get your butt off the couch and WORK... Teach your children what life is, not being handed everything for FREE.
