Terrible Scare- First Pregnancy, TTC 3yrs
Last night I had the worst scare ever. I started bleeding with horrible cramps. The ER Physcian told me my cervix was "kind of" open. And that my bleeding was possibly indicative of a miscarriage. I had two ultrasounds (abdominal and transvaginal) and baby's heartrate was 166. Pelvic exam revealed bleeding (yeah). They didn't give me my blood levels but my urine tested normal. They tried calling the on call doctor for my office (who I haven't seen yet) and they have no one on call. Ironically they accidentally called the doctor I now work for.... I started yesterday... Anyways the USs showed a subcorionic hemorrhage attached to my baby. To say I bawled for hours, is an understatement. We were discharged with the fear of MC. I call in to work today and tell my practice manager that the ER doc spoke with our Doctor, and I get an appointment with him. He does an exam and I have no bleeding. My cervix is closed (and he wasn't pleased that the ER Physcian had indicated that it was "kind of" open. I'm now measuring at 7w5d (four days ahead) and restricted from all intercourse and all lifting. I do have a blood clot but he thinks it's attached to the uterus and from implantation bleeding.
