HCG Levels

So a few weeks ago I was having some bad cramping, went to the ED to get check out, found out my levels were 27,000, the doctor recommended a repeat blood test a few days later, is it odd that my OB hasn't ordered any additional level checks? My first appt isn't until the 29th (currently 7w/4d)
