False Positive

Question Ladies,

After taking a pregnancy test I did not see a predominate line as I did with my first pregnancy , but after a few hours there was a line. I also started my period today. Is this a false positive? Or should you automatically discard the pregnancy test after 2 minutes as stated on the box? This is not the first false positive we have had.
