When to announce ...

I'm so torn, this is my 2ND child, I was 21 with my first -slightly young and dumb...great/easy pregnancy but traumatic telling family-upset everyone as I was almost finished with college, not married etc.
Now, married to a wonderful man, we tried for 9 months and finally got our BFP so his first, my second. I'm not seeing the Dr. Until Jan13 but I'd like to tell everyone at Christmas...
I'll be 7 weeks...I have no history of miscarriage and honestly if something goes wrong-I'd rather grieve with family vs just the 2 of us.
When did you tell family and super close friends?!?! (Not talking telling the world here.... Lol)

We are telling my parents this weekend and I will be 5 weeks.  I feel that if something happens in the first weeks I would want my parents to be there for us!

We told our parents and siblings last night so at 6 weeks. We are visiting my husbands aunt and uncle over seas at Christmas so we will tell them as well. Everyone else we are waiting until 12 weeks.

This will be baby #2 for me. I'm kind of in the same boat. But I was 19 having a baby. I was in college and not married. We got married and have a beautiful three year old. Now pregnant with #2 we told our immediate family and friends after confirmation from the dr. First ultrasound is next week.

I have a high risk pregnancy and many mc. I still told my family at around the 5 week mark. I found out right at 4 weeks.

I've told my parents and a few close friends. This is my third baby, and I feel pretty confident. Chances of miscarriage are low, as long as you aren't bleeding, things are probably just fine :)

We found out when I was 3 weeks and 5 days and told everyone 4 days later on Thanksgiving. We figured it was a good time because it was a holiday. So now family and close friends know only. Facebook will be after our first ultrasound.

I agree with you about the mourning but that's also worst case scenario. Tell them on Christmas! It'll make the holiday so much brighter! 😊
