First prenatal visit! Nervous/excited

I'm a first time bfp!!  I have my first prenatal visit tomorrow at 6w.  It's my OBGYN.  How long should I expect the visit to be?  Should I bring my partner with me?  He seems fine either way.  I'm just not sure if there's any reason he needs to be there (family medical history) etc.  Have any of you had your first appt?  What was it like?  Did you bring your husband/boyfriend/partner?
