Postpartum Fitness

I know everyone's different and I know "the doctor recommends this and that" but how many days/weeks/months/ years(?) after baby were you able to go back to your regular routine or start back at the gym? I don't do anything intense right now just enough to keep me in shape during pregnancy but before conceiving I loved doing the Tough Mudder, CrossFit, 5Ks, ect. And I'm craving the adrenaline 😩 I'll be 39 weeks this weekend.
