My daughter had to be delivered earlier than expected due to my having preeclampsia. I was 2 days shy of being 35 weeks pregnant. My blood pressure kept going up. And even after being induced and having the help of an epidural, it continued to spike, which caused my daughter's heart rate to drop. After being dialated 7cm, the doctor suggested an emergency c-section. At that point, my bp was 177/104 and my daughter's heart rate continued to drop. Naomi Gizelle was born at 3:05am, 4lbs 2oz. and 16 inches long! She has been in the NICU making great progress since then!
