Do you think expectant moms need parking spots?

My last pregnancy I was on bedrest and my husband was deployed the entire pregnancy. It was impossible to find people to take me places I needed to be even time so I had to drive myself... Those spots would've been a godsend. This pregnancy my lungs are slowly being crushed by a large hiatial hernia and I get lightheaded and woozy walking 20 ft. I'm glad her pregnancy was super awesome, but she needs to slow her roll cuz she sounds like an arrogant jerk.

So rude. Not every one has a healthy, normal pregnancy. What about women with chronic pain? Women on bed rest? Women with bad backs? Just because this woman didn't need to use those parking spots doesn't mean no women need them.

Also the author sounds bitter about being a mom. I have an exhausting toddler and would give my seat to a pregnant woman in an instant.

She comes off super rude, entitled, and ignorant to the fact that not everyone has an easy pregnancy. 
Also having worked in customer service if someone made that seemingly smart ass remark to an offer for help I'd just be like, "okay, bye! Have a nice day!" and walk away.

In the UK we don't have them, I'd never heard of them until using this app. We get along fine without them. We have parent and baby spaces that are bigger than the usual space for getting a baby or child out the car, which is handy, but they are not always close to the shop, just bit bigger. Personally I wouldn't feel the need for an expectant mother parking space, but then again I've never had the chance to try it! My pregnancy has been pretty tough but I just have to get on with it.

If they have a genuine need for a spec I parking space they will get a temp handicapped card at the car registry place with a doctors note.

Even a normal, typical, healthy pregnancy isn't a walk in the park.

You hit a point where you every time you stand up you feel like you're going to drop the entire contents of your uterus out of your vagina. And then the little brat decides to punch you in the cervix while you're trying to convince yourself that s/he really isn't about to fall out on his/her head.

Those parking spaces definitely come in handy. And I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone would complain about them. Nothing wrong with expectant/new parent parking.

I understand her point. It seems kind of like a joking article in my opinion. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. My legs and ankles have tripled in size and I gained 6lbs in 2 days from retaining water. My damn legs hurt. No I don't plan on going anywhere I have the luxury of my wife doing groceries if I need her to but I will use these parking spots to my advantage lol
