Baby names

So me and my SO have been tossing around baby names. I know we still have plenty of time until baby comes, but I'm just really excited. Well it's tradition in his family to name the first born son after the father. Which I was ok with, not a huge fan of that but I love this man so much I'm willing to allow it. Well I was thinking of Girl names and wanted to incorporate my Cousin Ryans name (who passed 2years ago this January) and my grandfathers middle name Quinn (passed away almost 8years ago) whom I was extremely close to both of them growing up. I really like the name Rhi-Ann Quinn and he totally shot it down. Even when I suggested possibly incorporating the names he didn't even like the idea. I feel like I have no say so in if we have a boy nor do I have a say in if we have a girl now cuz everything I have suggested he don't like. Anyone else have this issue with their SO? What was the out come with ur child's name?
