Yeast infection

Good grief. So yesterday I was scared because I had brown spotting from my Pap smear which has since resolved, and today I get a call from my Ob office saying my Pap smear showed yeast. I have no symptoms and I can't even remember the last time I had a yeast infection. The nurse called in a topical cream and reassured me it's completely safe. The cream is Terconazole. I read the pamphlet that came with it and it says it's a category c and not to use during the first trimester. I am 10 weeks. Not sure what to do? Anyone else been prescribed this? Should I just treat naturally if possible?
