Is it that big of a deal to have gender specific colors?

I don't know my gender but I've bought many things that could be used for a girl or boy, such as car seat, stroller; pack and play, co sleeper. To me it seems more important to have genders specific clothes Then it is furniture. What do you think? Let me know your point of views

The only gender specific items I plan on buying are clothes. Other than that, I'm going all gender neutral so I can reuse everything for the next one :) I don't see the point in buying all new baby items.

I am picking out all my furniture and large purchases (pack n play, car seat, stroller, etc.) as gender neutral so that I can use it for future children. I think that clothes should be a little more pink than blue or vice versa so that people (while you're out and about) know if your baby is a boy or a girl... Unless you don't mind being asked every time you go out. LOL

All of my big items are gender neutral. But as far as clothes go mine are def geared more for girl. I do have some gender neutral clothes for her tho

I have some items that were given to me that have green accents (diaper bag and car seat). We don't find out our gender until next week but regardless of the gender, I plan on using them. I'm a firm believer that colors shouldn't be based on gender. I will be incorporating many different colors into my child's room regardless of gender. I wanna teach my child that they can like whatever they want even though social norms advise against it.

I'm getting gender neutral everything except for clothes also. I want more than one and I don't want a huge age gap so it would be silly of me to buy a boy infant seat when my next baby could be a girl.
