Rescheduled u/s rant

I got a call this morning that my appt in an hour has to be rescheduled because the doctor is sick and is only working one day next week. I'm already 10 weeks 6 days. I've never had an ultrasound and never even heard the heartbeat. This was my first appt with my first child. I have to wait until almost 13 weeks to be seen now. I'm so upset. My mom won't even acknowledge I'm pregnant and I was hoping that with a picture at Christmas would help things. Now I'll suffer another holiday like I did Thanksgiving because "without a picture as proof the baby doesn't exist" according to them. And this was the only day my husband could go. The appt has been scheduled since 5 weeks. I'm so disappointed.
