Stuck

So here's my situation am 19 years of age and was trying to conceive for the past 5 months or so, but was out of luck, so we stop trying. In October i got my period twice one at the beginning of the month and the other at the end. It didn't bother me at first until November 23rd where af was supposed to visit, i figured she was late so i waited a next day cause she usually comes the day after or two but still no sight. I waited a week and still no sight of af so i took a hpt and it came back positive i was kinda shock and excited at the same time, just to make sure i took another hpt a week after and it came back positive, so i was 6 weeks and days pregnant then. Here's the thing, after we've stopped trying my intention was to go back to college to earn my degree in August/September 2016 but i am due August 1st. Is it possible to do so, is there a period of time that i should be home with the baby before i start to work or anything? How long should I stay home with the baby?

Am sorry if the last part confuses you but please try and understand it, i would really appreciate your help.
