DH is putting me on his Tricare (reserve) insurance. I've heard terrible things about them not covering birthing centers or certified midwives. I've asked some birthing centers and they say that tricare hasn't approved them, I don't really understand it. Do I have to find a midwife/birthing center/hospital that has been approved by Tricare?

Any tips or advice would help.

We live kinda in the middle of VA so the local hospital has a 40% csection rate, and has terrible reviews, so I'd really prefer a birthing center with a midwife.
