Epidural questions??

Question

To mothers who have gotten an epidural before how does it feel?? Do they numb you?  I am still a bit far from having my baby and I'm just nervous about it lol 
I'm planning on getting an epidural and I just want to know how it goes??

Honestly if your contractions are painful enough to need the epidural you won't even feel it being inserted. It's like a pinch or bee sting and it's done. I was induced and in active labor for 40 hours. So when I received my epidural I was just thankful lol

It was the best decision I ever made! One tiny stick and then you're fairly numb for the rest of the time.

They did my epidural during a contraction so I didnt really even feel the needle or anything. Probably my biggest complaint after getting the epidural was that I couldn't wiggle my toes lol. Having a needle in my back and stuff wasn't even an issue. But everyone is different.

It was the best thing everrrr. I went into labor at 11 pm on 11/24 and I was trying to be strong and see if I could handle the pain and I couldn't, I ended up getting the epidural at 10 ish am the next morning and was able to relax and dilated from a four to a full ten in about an hour or two, I took advantage and napped because I hadn't slept all night. Woke up and I was ready to push, didn't feel any pressure and I was able to enjoy the process better because I was dying of pain beforehand and I had been able to get some rest before having to push, which can get pretty exhausting!

With one I was dead from the ribs down, couldn't move a thing. With my second I was numb but able to move and only from my ribs to my hips

I really didn't feel any discomfort when I got it, just a little pressure. Although my labor progressed too fast for it to really work, so I ended up feeling most everything anyways 😒

I have heard some horror stories, but mine was wonderful. I'm a baby about needles and it didn't bother me at all. Kinda wish I could get one every day 😉
