Discrimination

Ja
I'm afraid I'm waiting to long to talk to someone bc of the pregnancy discrimination. My workplace didn't accommodate me being pregnant by putting me on light duty. I think there are laws about that that I was reading and I think they think bc they have a policy, they are above the law. It's really bothering me I live in Texas and would like a good lawyer to talk to. Problem is, I don't have a lot of money due to the fact I've been off work since the end of October. It's really disturdlbing and I've tried not to stress out about it but I'm sitting here thinking they're lying to the workforce saying I quit my job due to medical illness(it's on the unemployment paper to which I called them and told them that's wrong) I work as a CNA for a hospice company. I've very disturbed by all this. I don't know if they have me off on med leave with no pay or not. I read that they can't replace me still and have to accommodate. The person in HR told me when all this was first started that they don't have light duty. There are plenty of people I've could've seen and every time I read something it still says the LAW that they cannot do this. I need help bad it's bothering me and I'm worried I won't have the funds to move into a safer place and get baby things needed. I live in Corpus Christi. Is there a Texas lawyer that I can talk to about this? I don't care if this person is in Houston.
