Can a baby go into a crib right away ?

I used a cradle for a few months before the crib. I loved the cradle because it is easier to put the baby in and reach the baby and is just as comfortable as a crib. Look online and you can kind of get an idea of what you might prefer.  Also nothing wrong with calling a pediatrician's office and getting a recommendation on crib vs cradle. None of us knew what we were doing the first time ;)

Yes! We have a wooden bassinet my husband's grandpa made that we used for the first few months with our daughter & plan on using it again this time. Then we switch over to the crib.

I know some people who did, and it worked well with a swaddle. But my son hated the swaddle and being in the crib was a little too "open" for him right away. He slept in a rock n play next to my bed until 5 weeks. That's when I got over my fear and decided to give into the fact that I may have a tummy sleeper... At 6 weeks, he was in his crib, on his tummy, sleeping through the night!

We were given a hand me down bassinet, and my son hated it! He slept in the crib, in the next room, from his first week home. :) lots of ways to care for and parent!

Yes! Crib is safest for baby!! Baby can sleep in same room with you if you want to keep an eye on them but yes put them in their own bed!
