How long does induction take?

I know it's definitely not an exact science, but I'm being induced due to gestational diabetes on Jan 2. I'm hoping to go on a slow rise pitocin drip. Still holding out hope I can say no to an epidural! How long did your inductions last from the time you went into L&D til you were holding your babe? Just curious...

Mine took from Saturday afternoon until Tuesday at 11:59 PM. I pushed for 7 hours. It definitely wasn't easy and I wouldn't recommend induction to anyone unless medici reasons. If your body isn't ready then there is a possibility it will fight the whole process.

31 hours.  No eating or drinking the entire time.  Good luck! I wouldn't wish induction on my worst enemy. I was induced for pre-e.

I was induced with pitocin at about 930 and then at 121 was holding my baby girl. Good luck hun!!

28 hours. I was induced a week early because all of the sudden my blood pressure was getting high. It was a long hard process. I gave in to an epidural which sped up the process greatly. After the epi I had my little one in my arms about 3 hours later

I checked in at 530 am, started pitocin around 630, dr broke my water around 830am. I did get an epidural, mainly because I had very high blood pressure and pain makes it go up so my dr recommended it. Baby delivered at 937pm. I was also 38+2, so that could have something to do with the length but idk.
