Two or more Embryos transferred at once resulting in single or multiples?
Hi ladies,
I'm newly pregnant :) (4+1) so still v.early days and don't really feel sure enough about posting really but what the hay! I had a good browse through all the forum cats and find I bed in nicely here :) congrats on all of your pregnancies!
Short(ish) history, I'm 31, OH 32 - together 11yrs, ttc 5 yrs (naturally for 2, assisted for 3). Tried clomid twice, 1 fresh ivf (all unsuccessful), 1 medicated fet ivf (early chem in Sep) and my current natural ivf transfer - success! Thank you science and star alignments (resisting the urge to go all Gwyneth and thank my mom and dad and friends cat, hehe!)
I had two 5day blasts tx, both hatching (sounds like something from Alien I always think!) One 5AB, t'other 5BB so good quality and good stage of dev I was told... On ET day I was warned of the multiple preg risks but considering my history and recent loss I was insistent on tx'ing two. I would hope to conceive one as I wouldn't want to open myself up to the increased risk, just hoped it would increase my chances of one viable pregnancy. Of course I would heartily embrace a twin pregnancy - it's just that you don't actually feel that you will get to a stage where those thoughts are even a tangible option, do you know what I mean? At that point I would have probably ingested the whole vial of my 5 embies if I could, so much is the yearn that I know only you ladies can relate to...
So, (and three days later - sorry, I waffle even when I write :)) I would like to ask you good ladies, what were your results following a multiple ET? A single or multiple pregnancy?
I have tested positive after 3days of a 5dt and started feeling waves of nausea 5dp5dt - so quite early on - are early/pronounced symptoms a better indicator of multiples? My clinic have asked me to take a pt tomorrow, they don't do betas from the outset it seems so I won't have those lovely numbers to go by!
Any help/advice is much appreciated.
